Love the classy style of vintage Swing and Big Band songs, but concerned about the space requirements and expense needed for a 16 piece big band? - No problem.

Diane's reception bands deliver the wonderful Big Band hit songs for weddings and corporate receptions with her compact 4 piece quartet, quintet or 6 piece band. They deliver the sophisticated music with a small or medium sized dance band, the value is exceptional. They have earned rave reviews from hundreds of Twin Cities weddings and special events. Entertainment is available in a variety of band sizes, and price ranges for varied budgets, from solo pianist and small combo groups to the six piece dance band combo. Diane offers helpful advice on planning the best combination of musicians and music. The Diane Martinson Quartet is an affordable option for a reception dance band for clients on a budget, it's a great value. Instrumentation includes- piano, bass, drums, vocalist, saxophone and guitar. Big Band music with a small band price.

Many Clients opt to start out with our solo pianist or small group for dinner music and then add in musicians for the dance. Our Quartet is quite adept at both background music and dance music. Our quintet and sextet also have dinner music, and are most popular for the dances.

Design your own song list for your event by visiting our song list page and indicating your selections, or leave it to the expertise of the band leader. The band always takes care of talking with the location and coordinating the load in and set up arrangements for you.
